Where to find your member number.
Other Log-In Problems
If you have entered your member number and password and the login box keeps reappearing, your computer
security settings may be set too high. Your computer web browser must be set to accept "cookies". The
Gideon website only uses a cookie while you are in the Online Community. It does
not place this as a permanent piece of information on your computer. The following steps may help you
determine if your web browser settings are set to work with the Gideons website. Open your web browser
and select Tools from the menu at the top. Select Internet Options, Privacy, then reset the Custom
Settings to Medium. This should allow you to access the website.
If you continue to have log-in trouble, you may need to check one other setting in your web browser.
In order for the website to operate properly, Javascript must be activated on your web browser. Here
is how we can check the settings. Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, etc.), and select Tools.
From this menu, select Internet Options, then Security. On the Security page, select the button titled
Custom Level. Scroll down the list that is now displayed, looking for the heading called Scripting.
Their will be 3 selections: Active Scripting, Allow Paste Operations Via Script, and Scripting of Java
Applets. They should each be set as 'Enabled'. Save these settings and try the website again.
