A Single Conversion That Led To 65 More

One of the officials at a large school in Southeast Asia opened the school to receive 1,400 New Testaments. A team from The Gideons International distributed the Scriptures to students and as the men were about to leave, the school official asked them to pray with him.

A month later, he contacted one of the team members, saying,  “I want to become a Christian.“

He shared that he had received a New Testament during a distribution by The Gideons International when he was 12 years old. His familys religion did not permit the reading of the New Testament. But he did read it. His mother took it from him and said, “This is not a book you should read!”

When he asked his mother why, she replied, “Because you could become a Christian by reading this book.”

So some of the men from the school distribution that had occurred the previous month, met with him and shared Gods plan of salvation. He received Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, and was baptized with a new name – \“Abraham.\“  Through his personal testimony of his own conversion, 65 more non-believers have since received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, as well.
